DGPR’s Treasurer Elected Vice President of the National Consultative Forum of Political Organisations in Rwanda.

The Democratic Green Party of Rwanda wishes to inform its members and the general public that today, the 21st August 2014, attended its first meeting in the National Consultative Forum of Political Organisations  in Rwanda and its National Treasurer, Ms.Florence Mukobwajana got elected as the Vice President  of the Forum’s Executive Committee.

DGPR Condemns Both the Deaths Threats and the Armed Attack Against the Transparency International Rwanda Chief

The Democratic Green Party of Rwanda strongly condemns both the deaths threats and armed attack against Mrs.Ingabire Marie Immaculet the Transparency International Rwanda Chief.

Transparency International Rwanda under Mrs.Ingabire Immaculet has always stood against corruption but such death threats and the armed attack as witnessed yesterday at her offices in Kigali, are aimed at silencing both her and the organisation, a thing that cannot be tolerated in a country that has a zero-tolerance on corruption.

DGPR Leaders Met with Rwandan Internal Security Minister on Munyeshyaka’s Disappearance

The Democratic Green Party of Rwanda’s top leadership today met with the Rwandan Minister of Internal Security, Sheik Musa Fazil Harerimana at his offices in Kigali. DGPR’s President in accompany with the First Vice President and the Secretary General discussed with the Interior Minister, issues concerning the disappearance of DGPR’s National Organising Secretary, Jean Damascene Munyeshyaka, who has not been seen in public since 27th June 2014. The Minister promised to expedite the investigations and to give the case its due priority.

DGPR Calls upon Rwandan Authorities to Expedite Investigations in the Missing of it’s National Organising Secretary.

The Democratic Green Party of Rwanda calls upon all concerned authorities in the Republic of Rwanda to expedite investigations into the continued disappearance of it’s National Organising Secretary, Mr.Jean Damascene Munyeshyaka, who went missing on 27th June.

The Democratic Green Party of Rwanda is very concerned and worried that two weeks later, there is no trace of life or death of Mr.Jean Damscene Munyeshyaka. The police investigations seem to be moving very slow.

Rwanda Democratic Green Party’s Organizing Secretary, Jean Damascene MUNYESHYAKA Missing

The Democratic Green Party of Rwanda (DGPR) requests all national security organs to help in finding the whereabouts of its Organizing Secretary Mr.Jean Damascene MUNYESHYAKA, who has been missing since Friday last week (27th June 2014).

Mr.Munyeshyaka Jean Damascene was called on phone by an unknown person around 15:00 hrs on Friday in Nyamata town, Bugesera district. He felt concerned and left that number with a party member though, two hours later that number was switched off and all his phones also went off, since then he has never been seen in public again.

La Fédération des Verts Africains (FeVA) a tenu à l’hôtel Colbert à Antananarivo du 19 au 21  juin 2014 son troisième Congrès ordinaire.

La cérémonie d’ouverture  a été présidée par Dr Frank Habineza  en présence du Global  Forum des Ambassadeurs d’Allemagne et du Maroc, de M. Robinson Jean Louis et M. Andrianainarivelo Hajo.

DGPR’s President re-elected to Chair the African Greens Federation

The Democratic Green Party of Rwanda is pleased to inform members of the media and the general public that it’s President, Dr.Frank HABINEZA has been re-elected to Chair the African Greens Federation for the next four years (2014-2018).

This vote of confidence took place at the African Greens Congress in Antananarivo-Madagascar, from 20th -21st June 2014. The Congress brought together 17 political parties from across Africa. The African Greens Federation has its headquarters in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
