Muhanga: Young people call for easier access to Financial Services

Young people in Muhanga District in the Southern Province of Rwanda have requested the Democratic Green Party of Rwanda to advocate for them in order to have access to entrepreneurship programs while at the same time urging the National Bank of Rwanda to provide new guidelines on slashing down the Bank Interest rate for them to easily create their own jobs.  

In July 2021, the Rwandan Senate said that unemployment among young people was on the rise and that a large number of its projects were failing, the reason why serious measures need to be taken.

Nyagatare: Youth commit to save environment

Young people in Nyagatare District, Eastern Province of Rwanda have committed to protect the environment to build country’s resilience to climate change effects.

The interventions are needed considering that cimate change also affects youth and thus affecting the future of the country.

Having considerd the dangers and threats posed by climate change, the young people are chipping in to save the environment in Nyagatare.

The effects of climate change include water shortage, decreased food, and increasing disasters and diseases.

Rwamagana: Youth urged to embrace politics

The youth from the Democratic Green Party of Rwanda (DGPR) have urged other young people to embrace politics and strive to play their part in the governance of their country.

The call comes as some of the youth fear joining politics due to the Rwanda’s tragic political history that led to the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi that claimed over one million victims.

As such more youth have lost interest in politics including affiliating themselves to political parties.

Nyanza: High cost of cooking stoves contributes to deforestation – Green Party members

As the world prepares to celebrate World Environment Day on June 5, the Democratic Green Party Rwanda (DGPR) is campaigning across the country to encourage its members to participate in environmental protection programs, but point out the challenges posed by deforestation. Involvement and the availability of expensive cook stoves and most of the dominant wood firefighters in rural areas are unable to afford it, according to its members from Nyanza district in Southern Province.

Green Party members tipped on the relationship between eating too much meat and disrupting the biodiversity and harming the Environment

As the World celebrated the World Biodiversity Day in the weekend, the Democratic Green Party of Rwanda has reminded that apart from the continuous quest for democracy, Environmental protection continues to be the most important concern for the party

This was revealed by Hon. Jean Claude Ntezimana, MP and Secretary General of the Greens of Rwanda. Ntezimana made the comment in the weekend during an Interview with Media.
