Un membre du Parlement du Rwanda, le Dr Frank Habineza demande que lors du vote du budget pour la prochaine année 2023/24, qu’il soit envisagé d’augmenter le montant des fonds affectés à la prévention des catastrophes. Annoncé ce 3 mai 2023, où une pluie diluvienne mêlée de vent s’est abattue sur les parties ouest et nord, provoquant des catastrophes qui ont tué environ 130 personnes et en ont laissé d’autres sans abri.
