Democratic Green Party Rwanda Gears Up for 2024 Election Victory
In a resounding declaration during the party’s national women congress on Sunday, December 17, 2023, Hon. Dr. Frank Habineza, President of the Democratic Green Party Rwanda, expressed his unwavering confidence in securing victory in the upcoming 2024 elections.
Dr. Habineza emphasized the party’s dedication to inclusivity and progress, highlighting the pivotal role that women leaders would play in their campaign efforts.
At the congress, members cast their votes, electing Mukeshimana Atanasie as the women leader of the party at the national level.Dr. Habineza remarked, “I am ready and optimistic about the elections next year. Our party stands united, and with the newly elected women leaders, we will embark on a campaign that resonates with the diverse voices within our nation.”
His conviction in the capability of the newly elected women leaders underscores the party’s commitment to fostering gender equality and leveraging the collective strength of its members.

He urged authorities to allow journalists to leave the election site with the vote counts rather than waiting for district-level announcements. Dr. Habineza emphasized the importance of transparency and timely information, stating, “Allowing journalists to report on the vote counts promptly will enhance the democratic process and keep the public informed without unnecessary delays.”
